Denise Clarke
Denise has just graduated from Somerset College with a 1st class honours in Textiles and Surface Design. The focus of Denise’s work is creating tactile and textured surfaces for architectural features and wall panels.
Denise is inspired by what is considered ‘ordinary’ and believes they can become the extraordinary if we only take time to look.
Denise is passionate about using a variety of materials and combine them to produce dramatic and intriguing effects. These include Jesmonite, concrete and resin with copper, aluminium and specialist threads embedded into them.
Denise recently won the Devon Guild of Craftsmen Visual Arts Prize and also has five pieces of her work in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
Denise can undertake commissions for architectural features, wall panels and wall art.
